IEA Wind Task 36 Forecasting has worked nearly 3 years on an IEA Recommended Practice on how to choose a forecast solution, and a forecast solution provider. Please help us with the review of the documents before January 31, 2019.
The objective of this recommended practice guideline was to compile guidance for the implementation of renewable energy forecasting into system operation.
The guideline contains 3 parts that are now accessible for public consultation until 31st January 2019.
Part 1: Forecast Solution Selection Process
Part 2: Design and Execution of Benchmarks and Trials
Part 3: Evaluation of Forecasts and Forecast Solutions
All three parts as a single document for download.
