The three parts of the IEA Recommended Practice on Forecast Solution Selection have been submitted to the IEA Wind ExCo.
After three years of work (and a few night shifts), and after a round of public consultation involving forecasters, academia and end users, the IEA Recommended Practice on Forecast Solution Selection has been submitted to the IEA ExCo on March 1, 2019. The objective of this recommended practice guideline was to compile guidance for the implementation of renewable energy forecasting into system operation.
The Recommended Practice is composed of three parts:
- Part 1: Forecast Solution Selection Process
- Part 2: Design and Execution of Benchmarks and Trials
- Part 3: Evaluation of Forecasts and Forecast Solutions
The documents have changed a bit since the public consultation, so please use those documents until the final approval by the IEA Wind ExCo.
